DWLS can supply cranes which can lift up to 1200 tonne.
Our modern fleet of cranes are operated by fully qualified, experienced, professional and dedicated operators, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
Our health and safety standards are constantly reviewed to meet the current UK and European legislation.
The difference between CPA hire and a Contract Lift:
CPA Hire
When you hire a crane and operator only, it is called a CPA Hire (Construction Plant Hire Association hire). The crane and operator will work to your instructions, unless they deem it unsafe. You have to plan the lift, select a suitable crane, specify the slinging and signalling arrangements, supervise the lift and be responsible for the lifting operation, (including the production of a Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Lift Plan which is to be shown and briefed to the driver). You also have to arrange suitable hired in plant insurance for up to £600,000 (which would cover you for up to an 80 tonne crane).
Contract Lift
If a CPA Hire lift seems a huge responsibility or you do not have the personnel to do this, you can hire the services of a banksman to sling the load, or an appointed person to do a site visit and produce a method statement for you, or do the whole thing for you called a Contract Lift. A Contract Lift is where we will plan the lift, select a suitable crane, specify the slinging and signalling arrangements, supervise the lift and be responsible for the lifting operation, including the production of a Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Lift Plan. We also supply full contract lift insurance which covers on hook goods up to a value of £50,000. (Extra on hook insurance can be arranged to suit the value of the goods being lifted.)
Latest Crane
The LTM 1130-5.1 has a long and variable boom system with outstanding load capacities. With its ground-breaking technology, it is flexible and economical to operate. Because of its compact dimensions, the LTM 1130-5.1 can manoeuvre on confined building sites. Air-operated disc brakes, pioneered by Liebherr in mobile cranes, ensure that the crane operates safely and economically.
